Whey protein concentrate (WPC) is generally classified as the most basic of all
whey types. Although WPC is not the purest whey because it is less processed,
the fat and lactose content is still very low. It is therefore one of the
noblest sources of protein. The less elaborate ultrafiltration treatment does
not affect the structure of protein fractions. Also being less processed, they
have a high content of nutrients such as calcium and other minerals.
